Operations & Communication Manager.
Job Position Overview
Common Good Church seeks a part-time Operations & Communications Manager who will help the pastoral staff manage and execute the day-to-day operations of the church. This includes ministry coordination, volunteer management, event planning, and both internal and external communications.
Detailed Job Responsibilities
Operations:
Collaborate with pastoral staff and leadership to plan and coordinate weekly Sunday services and special events (e.g., Christmas, Easter, Anniversary, Father’s/Mother’s Day).
Manage the scheduling and coordination of ministry teams and volunteers weekly, ensuring all volunteer needs are met; provide support to fill in gaps as needed.
Maintain and update Planning Center Online, Common Good events calendar, and volunteer schedules.
Coordinate with speakers, worship team leaders, and the tech lead to ensure that slides and relevant content (e.g., Bible verses, song lyrics) are updated for ProPresenter.
Serve as the day-of coordinator for Sunday services, working with venue staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers to ensure that services (including CG Kids & Connect/Hospitality) run smoothly.
Recruit, train and onboard volunteers for Sunday ministry teams, ensuring volunteers feel supported and equipped.
Support pastoral staff with administrative tasks such as procuring printed materials, supplies, and refreshments.
Set up and schedule weekly YouTube and CG app live streams before services, and edit/trim titles, graphics, and start/end times after services.
Communication:
Assist the pastoral staff with managing calendars, meetings, spreadsheets, presentations, and streamlining technology platforms.
Plan and execute special events and gatherings (e.g., Love Your Neighbor Sunday, Next Steps lunches, retreats, social functions, outreach projects).
Manage cHms database to ensure member information is up-to-date.
Oversee the church’s website, app, and social media accounts by posting updates, announcements, and content.
Create and send weekly email newsletter & special email blasts
Collaborate with social media, graphics, and video teams to post sermons, podcasts, and other compelling content.
Design necessary graphics for web, social media, and Sunday slides.
Lead content creation and marketing campaigns for special events.
Qualifications

You are proficient in excel spreadsheets, email marketing campaigns, graphic design, video production, web and social media platforms
You have strong written and verbal communication

Details
Location: Greater Seattle / Eastside candidates only
Compensation: $26-$34/hr, based on experience
Schedule: Part Time to start, ~15-20 hours per week

Children, Youth & Families Ministry Coordinator.
Job Position Overview
We are seeking a part-time Children, Youth & Family Ministry Coordinator to foster a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels a sense of belonging and can grow in their identity and faith. This role also empowers parents to be spiritual mentors in their children’s lives.
Detailed Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with the leadership team to shape and lead a thriving Children, Youth, & Family Ministry that supports the spiritual growth of both children and parents.
Partner with pastoral staff to select and adapt curriculum that aligns with Common Good’s mission, vision, and theology, ensuring it serves the needs of children and families.
Recruit, schedule, train, and manage volunteers, ensuring they feel equipped and empowered to lead effectively in the ministry.
Participate in the teaching rotation alongside volunteers.
Oversee Sunday children's programming and act as the primary liaison between families and the church.
Curate and acquire materials, activities, and supplies for children’s programming and provide resources for volunteers and families.
Communicate regularly with parents to offer support and resources beyond Sunday services.
Plan and help execute additional gatherings, workshops, and outreach events that promote spiritual formation, community building, and outreach to the wider community.
Qualifications

You have at least two years of related experience working with children or youth,
You have a passion for leading, relating to, and developing kids of various ages
You are a mature believer with a commitment to continual spiritual formation and emotional health
You are a culturally competent person and have experience working in a multicultural environments
You have experience overseeing, leading and mobilizing teams in action toward a goal (inside and/or outside of a local church context)
You have a collaborative working style and enjoy team dynamics
You are a strong and gifted oral and written communicator
You are detail oriented with strong administrative and project management skills
You must be willing to take and pass a background check

Location: Must be independently mobile, willing to commute to Bellevue, WA
