On Saturday, October 3rd at 2:30am Kenyan time, our dear brother Simon Okelo unexpectedly lost his mother, Mama Seline Angeline A. Aduogo. As Simon grieves the loss of his mother and prepares to make arrangements to leave for Kenya next week to join his siblings in providing a proper burial and send off for their mother, Simon wishes to gather with his Common Good church community for prayer and support.

Additionally, as is customary with African culture and tradition, Simon would like to spend our time together honoring the life and legacy of his mother. To do so, Simon will be sharing a short documentary called Madaraka, which tells the story of him and his mother and their work together to educate and liberate their communities through creative collaboration, self-empowerment, entrepreneurship and sustainability.
