We live in a culture and a society that obsesses over what’s on the outside — the outer appearance, outer behavior, outer success. And the same is often true of Christians and the church.
In fact, sometimes our obsession and concern over what we project to others on the outside, comes at the expense of ignoring the condition and state of what’s on the inside — our inner heart, soul, mind and emotions. As a result, while many Christians and church-goers look seemingly “good” on the outside, many of us find ourselves miserable on the inside; plagued with fear, insecurity, shame, guilt, anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, hurt, loneliness, sadness and a false sense of self.
But the abundant and full life that Jesus offers, is not just a life that looks good on the outside, but a whole life — one that is healthy not just on the outside, but more importantly, healthy on the inside. This collection of talks will invite us to slow down long enough so that we can begin to experience God’s healing, freedom, transformation and wholeness at the deepest parts of who we are.
We hope you’ll join us on the journey as we learn to get healthy, from the inside out.
