Home for the Holidays.

While we may be celebrating Christmas a little differently this year, the meaning of Christmas doesn’t change. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating and sharing the gift of Jesus this holiday season.

Christmas Giving

We’ve made it an annual church tradition to embrace Christmas season with a posture of generosity. This year especially, the communities around us are in need of support. That’s why in place of our annual Christmas Party for a Cause, we’re launching a 4-day giving campaign to financially support a few local non-profits we’ve built relationships with over the years who are on the ground serving some of the most vulnerable during these challenging times.

Our Christmas Giving campaign will run from Sunday, December 20th through Thursday, December 24th with a goal of raising $15k in total for all of our partners. Common Good will be matching up to $10k.

To learn more about how you can participate, read below.

Educate. Choose. Give.

  1. Read below to learn about our featured partners and the work they are doing to serve some of the most vulnerable communities, fight systemic injustice, and to show God’s love in real and tangible ways.

  2. Prayerfully consider which cause (or causes) you feel God leading you to give generously to this Christmas.

  3. Click on the ‘Give Now’ button below to give directly through our online giving platform anytime between 12/20 - 12/24. Make sure to select the appropriate cause you’d like to give to from the ‘fund’ dropdown menu when making your contribution.

Jubilee Reach

The mission of Jubilee REACH is to bring healing, build community, and transform the lives of the students and families in Bellevue. Staff and volunteers work toward our mission in four main areas, also known as our four pillars: the public schools, our community center, the thrift store, and community-building events. Jubilee REACH has been on the front lines throughout the pandemic to offer much needed aid and assistance to low income families most affected by COVID-19. Learn more about their COVID-19 response here.

Congregations for the Homeless

The mission of Congregations for the Homeless is to partner with men and the community to create a path from homelessness to stable living. Created as an agency of the Eastside Interfaith Social Concerns Council, the Congregations for the Homeless (CFH) men’s shelter first opened its doors in 1993, and continues to provide housing for those experiencing homelessness on the Eastside and Greater Seattle Area. CFH continues to offer during this pandemic much needed support for those experiencing homelessness through their emergency shelter, rotating shelter, permanent housing and case management programs.

World Relief Seattle

World Relief Seattle envisions every local refugee and vulnerable immigrant welcomed by the community, rooted in community, and empowered for community. Since 1979, they have worked to empower the local Church to serve and help refugees and immigrants in the Greater Seattle Area. Even during COVID-19, World Relief Seattle continues to offer food security, online English classes, housing and transportation assistance, employment support, and immigration legal services. Learn more about their COVID-19 response here.

One Day’s Wages

One Days Wages believes that simple acts of generosity can make a lasting impact in a world where many people still live on less than $1.90/day, which is the international poverty line. They also know that there are already experts and committed indigenous leaders who are invested in long-term, sustainable change in their communities. Rather than re-invent the wheel, they invest in carefully-vetted partnerships around the world that are addressing core issues that perpetuate the cycle of poverty. Learn more about the work ODW is doing even during this pandemic, and how you can make a lasting impact through simple acts of generosity this holiday season here.
